Moving Forward With Social Media Weekend 2013

Do you have a Facebook account?  Are you on Instagram?  Do you tweet?

If you’re lost in translation and have no clue what the heck I just said then you haven’t figured out how to harness the power of social media.  However, chances are, you already have.  I’d even bet that if I say the word “hash”, the next word that comes to your mind is “tag” and not “potato”… riiight?  ;)

The benefits we get from social media are evident and  immeasurable, so much so that even Lolo and Lola, Yaya and even Bantay are on Facebook!  All that is fascinating but do you know how to make use of social media as a tool for social good, for sharing more opportunities and for doing useful things for your community and country?

If you do want to know more about how to use social media for more significant purposes than merely socializing, and you want to meet other people who are also passionate about making constructive use of social media, then I invite you all to join us for the Social Media Weekend event happening tomorrow, June 29th, at the Glorietta Activity Center in Makati City.  Pre-program is from 11am to 3pm, followed by the main event from 4pm to 7pm.  ADMISSION IS FREE!!!

The June 29th Social Media Day will be held in Makati City, while the June 30th event will be held via simultaneous meetups in Quezon City, Baguio, Dagupan, Iloilo, Cebu, Cagayan de Oro, General Santos, Bukidnon and Davao.  Thus making it a Social Media Weekend!
