It’s the end of another week again…yaaay! Now, for most of us, the weekend might just be “the light at the end of a tunnel”. After the week-long hustle and bustle, being able to spend a couple of days with our family and kids doing whatever we want is the only relief we know. Hence, we look forward to the weekend with gusto and thankfulness in our hearts. However, for some, the weekend might also mean a missed deadline, an unsustained commitment, a broken promise, a request denied, something or someone that didn’t quite live up to their expectations. Therefore, being thankful can be quite a struggle.
Whatever this day might mean to you – whether the week has been good to you or not – I encourage you to retain a true sense of gratitude.
According to author Ian Lawton,
“[A true sense of gratitude]…is the realization that darkness cannot overwhelm your inner light, which rests in the knowledge that nothing lasts forever. So, gratitude is the acceptance that life is playing out as it needs to for now, but not as it will play out for all time.”
Live as though you are surrounded by miracles, because you truly are! Even in the smallest and the most mundane of things, a miracle lies somewhere within. Be grateful therefore for the miracles you’ve uncovered this week.
Have a B-E-A-U-tiful weekend! Love you, guys!
